YAMAHA GC2 Silent Baby Grand Piano
Size does matter as Yamaha break the price barrier and expands award-winning Grand Piano line-up with new GC2 Innovation and tradition combine in an exciting new addition to Yamaha's award-winning range of grand pianos; the high-performance, highly affordable GC2 now breaks the price barrier bringing a significantly sized instrument to serious players at an affordable price.
Building on the increasingly popular Yamaha G series grand piano line up and employing only the highest quality materials, the 5’8” GC2 delivers superior sound quality combined with a highly responsive keyboard action. The award-winning G Series pianos have become one of Yamaha's most popular instrument offerings in recent years thanks to the incorporation of a range of sound and manufacturing characteristics drawn from the company's highly respected professional Conservatoire grand pianos. These include superior duplex scaling, which produces a rich tonal character, together with the highly detailed sound common to their larger, more expensive, relations, all underpinned by Yamaha's obsessive attention to detail. In the GC2 the duplex scaling has been refined to deliver superb overall balance and an increased depth of sound and range of tonal colours normally impossible to produce in smaller instruments. The secret to scale design, mastered by Yamaha, is the concept of considering the piano as a whole, rather than a collection of individual components. When implemented effectively this approach creates a special synergy between each and every part of the instrument, and the GC2 is an excellent example of this approach. The solid spruce soundboard produces a warm and powerful tone and this, combined with upgraded frame quality, ensures consistency of tone. Yamaha's excellent key action provides exceptional response across the entire dynamic range making the instrument equally suitable for all musical styles. The GC2 is available in a wide range of finishes which will maximise the instrument's appeal, these include black polyester, ivory polyester, American walnut polyester or satin, mahogany polyester and white polyester. With prices starting at just over £14k these instruments are perfect for the home, hotels and restaurants and mid-sized venues. Models & Prices
